Nasty Revival consists of three Dallas based rock and rollers presenting their take on hip-hop. At the epicenter of their focus is the importance playing the musical instruments live and infusing this sort of raw energy in the studio recordings. Hip-hop acts that can reproduce their sound live without relying strictly on a computer are all too scarce these days.
Branded as “hip-hop fusion”, Nasty Revival’s original compositions crossbreed hip-hop with a wide range of other genres. While each member of Nasty Revival has his own unique musical history, they have collectively formed a trio with a fundamentally basic mission: to reignite resonating passion and energy in hip-hop that is only possible by using live reproduction of instrumentation. Pancho D from Nasty Revival invited me to come out to the CD release party on December 17th at Muddy Waters in Dallas. Pancho D jammed out on bass, Col'B on Vox while eMKay-47 played the keyboard and lead guitar. I played a lot with color and light with their photos to go with the genre of the band. Hope you enjoy!
